About Gladstone’s Library

Gladstone’s Library is a unique and peaceful place. Situated in the village of Hawarden in North Wales, it is residential library offering visitors the chance to step out of the hustle and bustle of modern life and enjoy some time studying, pondering and resting.

Founded by British Prime Minister William Gladstone, the Library continues the Victorian statesman’s legacy of promoting liberalism, study and debate, providing place where the open-minded can gather to rest, reflect and be restored.

You can find out more about the Library by visiting the Gladstone Library website.

As a place to retreat to and rest, I know nowhere better. I always come away feeling refreshed and would love to share the magic of the Library with you. Join me for the course (and a slice or two of chocolate cake) and experience the joy of sleeping with books!
